During the last twelve years Ray has made an incalculable contribution to both the company and the Marriott Forest of Arden. Ray has been responsible for a complete overhaul of the Arden course and six major golf tournaments an outstanding track record.

Tomorrow marks the fulfilment of an ambition to create a really good golf course in the grounds of Goodwood House.
You have by your skill and hard work achieved a really first class finished article which will be a joy for these that play and understand the degree of dedication and experience required to produce these fine surfaces.

All your hard work in preparing the Arden course for last week reaped admirable dividends. I congratulate you for bringing the course to such a peak in such a short time. There is only one first and I am glad you where the right man in the right place at the right time.

It is difficult to single out any one individual for there contribution to this years Murphys English Open but my personal thanks must go to Ray Hunt for the way in which he and his team prepared the golf course for the event. The Forest of Arden was recognised by players and officials as the best prepared course of the year. Please pass on my thanks to Ray and His team.
